- Ms Sandal Bhardwaj has been associated with the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, India, since 2010 as an Assistant Professor of Italian Studies in the Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies. Areas of her research interests are studies of the Italian language, migration, and translation.She presented a paper at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland in 2017. She organized a special talk and a workshop on the theme of Leonardo da Vinci: 500 Years of Genuis. In 2020, she was the coordinator of the Two-Day International Webinar on Rivedere le Pandemie durante il COVID-19: Un’esperienza Italiana, EFL University. She coordinated the International Italian Teachers Training Course at EFL University in February 2023.While she has been contributing to various journals, her works, viz “A Study of the Preference of Language One as a Mode in a Foreign Language Classroom”, and Antonio Tabucchi and his contribution to Italian Literature, (Ek Rachnatmak Parichay in Hindi)” are soon to be published. Another work, soon to come out, is the Hindi translation of Pecore Nere (Black Sheep) --- story collection by female Italian migrant writers. Currently, she is working on the compilation of a book on Italian grammar and comprehension. Apart from this, she is working on the Hindi translation of Enrico IV (Henry IV) by Nobel Prize winner Luigi Pirandello, and the Hindi translation of Le Avventure di Pinocchio, one of the most translated books worldwide.
