Responsibilities of the Department
The responsibilities of the Department of French and Francophone Studies are to :-
- Teach French as a foreign language
- Teach French literature
- Teach Francophone literature
- Train students in translation from English to French and vice-versa
- Teach French and Francophone culture
- Promote research in the areas of French linguistics and phonetics, translation, French language teaching and French and Francophone literature
