EFL University offers a unique programme called Progress to Proficiency, which is sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs,
Government of India under the Development Partnership Administration (DPA) for effective management of India’s External Economic
Assistance Programmes. The ITEC courses are the Ministry’s “flagship programme for capacity development”. The objective of the programme
is to share Indian expertise with other developing countries in an effort to build capacity and develop human capital to facilitate long-term,
sustainable growth. The International Training Programme at EFLU operates under the Government of India’s authority and participants are
nominated by the governments (or nodal agencies) of partner countries.
The International Training Programme (ITP) at EFLU, caters to the English language needs of participants from over 150 developing
countries in Africa, South America, South- and South-East Asia, Central Asia, and Europe. The participants are ministers, members of
parliament, secretaries, diplomats, teachers, doctors, pilots, scientists, engineers, police officers, lawyers, auditors, journalists,
and others.
