Establishment of the Department
- Initially, Japanese was the only Department set up in 2007
- Chinese, Korean and Persian introduced in 2010
Responsibilities of the Department
The Department of Asian languages teaches Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Persian.
As these departments were set up recently (except Japanese), the focus is on proficiency development
in the above-mentioned languages.
