- Dr. Somya Nayak is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Asian Languages, in The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad after completion of her M.A and M.Phil in Chinese Language from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She got her Ph.D degree from the Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has also presented many papers in National and International Conferences on China. She has co-authored books entitled “1000 Powerful Chinese Lexicon” “Understanding China in the 21st Century”, in the year 2017 and 2020 respectively. In the year 2021 she has edited a volume titled “ Discourse on Chinese Language, Literature and Culture”. In view of her work and contribution in the field of Chinese language and culture, she has been nominated as an expert member of the Project Monitoring and Mentoring Group (PMMG) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation, (DRDO) Bangalore. The area of her academic interest is “Study on Evolution and Changes in Chinese Language”, “Chinese Linguistics”.
