Brief bio note: Dr. Jagannath Soren, Assistant Professor (French), completed his M.A. in French and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). His doctoral research was on Comparative study of the folk tales of Santals and Francophone countries. He has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Regional Campus, The English and Foreign Languages University, Lucknow since 17 Sept. 2008. Prior to his appointment as a regular faculty, he worked as an ad-hoc teacher at the Regional Campus, Lucknow from 08 Jan. 2008 to 16 Sept. 2008. He has been teaching French Language and Literature to the students of B.A. (Hons.) English and Part-time courses in French.
Thrust areas of interest and research: His areas of interest include the Folklore Studies, French Language and Literature, Children’s Literature, Dalit Literature and Literary Criticism. He has published articles in the areas of Comparative Literature, Folklore Studies, French Language and Literature in various national and international journals. He has also published his research paper in a book.
