Brief bio note: Dr. I. Amenla Changkija is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the English and Foreign Languages University, Regional Campus, Shillong, India. She received her M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the English and Foreign Languages University. Her area of research and interest is Applied Linguistics, Second Language Pedagogy and Studies on Northeast India. She has edited two books titled, Language and Discourse: Culture, Literature and Pedagogy in North East India (2018) and Language Teaching in India: Theory and Practice (2023).
Thrust areas of interest and research: Language Acquisition, Second Language pedagogy, Distance Education, Discourse Analysis, Ecolinguistics and Northeast Languages.
