Brief bio note: Dr. Rosy Yumnam received her Ph.D. from EFLU and M.A. from the University of Pune. Prior to joining EFLU, she taught English Language and Literature at the Maharashtra Academy of Engineering, Pune, Tolani Maritime Institute, Pune, and Bhavan’s College, Mumbai. She has around 16 years of teaching experience. Her articles and research papers have been published in books and journals of national and international repute. She has edited two books titled Language Teaching in India: Theory and Practice (2023) and Language and Discourse: Culture, Literature and Pedagogy in North East India (2018). She has authored a book titled Culture in English Language Teaching: The Use of the Puyas in the English Language Classroom (2021).
Thrust areas of interest and research: Her research and publications address language, culture and pedagogy, teaching language skills, production of ELT materials, bilingual education, and academic writing.
